Install Oracle ODA S or L

ODA Installation for S or L Series

  • Perform pre-installation checklist
  • Rackmount ODA nodes into customer rack
  • Perform cable management behind rack for ODA mounted by ECS
  • Connect and power up both ODA nodes, verify hardware components
  • Configure network (public, private interconnect, management)
  • Update firmware/BIOS/ILOM to recommended versions
  • Deploy Oracle Database Appliance Base (ODA Base) software
  • Verify configurations with customer

Deliverable

  • Submit ECS service report

General Assumptions

  • Any rework or out-of-scope requests by customer are chargeable
  • Customer to provide all required IP addresses, DNS, and NTP details prior to installation
  • Service is based on 1 x ODA X11-S or ODA X11-L node
  • Service is based on weekday, working office hours

Out of Scope

  • Installation or procedural documentation
  • UAT, project management, or onsite standby
  • Cabling or labeling services
  • Database configuration
  • Database migration, Data Guard, or replication setup
  • Advanced database configuration or performance tuning
  • Data migration from existing systems
  • Backup/recovery solution integration
